The National Centre for Nuclear Research has two locations. At present, the majority of the buildings do not provide full accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The Świerk Nuclear Centre is located approximately 30 km south-east of Warsaw (about 5 km east of Otwock). The complex covers an area of 44 hectares – fenced, guarded and equipped with dedicated technical infrastructure, including three independent power supply lines and its own water supply system.

Most of NCBJ’s research institutes and administrative units are located within the Nuclear Centre complex. The Radioactive Waste Management Plant is also located on site.

The Warsaw branch of the National Centre for Nuclear Research is located at 7 Pasteura Street. It occupies part of a building shared with the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw.

The branch houses the institutes of the NCBJ Department of Fundamental Research: the Nuclear Physics Division, Theoretical Physics Division, High Energy Physics Division, and Astrophysics Division.
